Your training for the examinations will be provided by way of “link” study through courses at Kaplan’s premises in London, N1. For each knowledge e-assessment you will receive one week’s tuition, with an additionally week of classroom tuition for each application paper. There is a two week revision course leading up to the examinations. For the Advanced Stage four separate weeks of classroom tuition are followed by a three week revision course.
While we would like all our students to obtain first time passes we recognise that this is not always the case. We do require that you pass the first two Professional Stage examinations at the first attempt and the remaining papers at this stage within two attempts. If, for some reason, you do not, we will look at your individual circumstances and discuss with you the best course of action.
We will pay all the course costs and examination fees and provide you with paid study leave, for your first attempt at each examination.
Our students have access to PASS training with its Unique Tutorial Scheme which provides additional examination practice and guidance at each stage of their studies.
In addition all students attend a comprehensive series of practical courses with PASS which focus on both technical and personal skills to assist their career development.
All work is appraised by a student’s immediate supervisor who will assess individual performance. You will have the opportunity to discuss your appraisal with your supervisor or manager.
A more formal review is undertaken every six months with your Counselling Partner but in reality appraisal and feedback is occurring constantly and Counselling Partners are always available to discuss concerns.
On successfully completing a training contract, students can expect to progress to a supervisor role within six months and to assistant manager within a further year. As our emphasis is on internal promotion progression to manager and eventually to partner is a possibility. In fact four of the current partners qualified with the firm.
Our student salaries are competitive and are reviewed on a six monthly basis as part of the appraisal process. We will pay all course costs, examination fees and provide paid study leave for the first attempt at each of the professional examinations. In addition we provide four weeks annual leave.
