NLP attends Theatre 2016 Conference

Last week, Partner Anthony Pins and Manager of our specialised Theatre Accounts division Gemma Jeynes attended Theatre 2016 – the largest ever industry-wide conference.

Theatre 2016 was organised to celebrate the UK’s current position as a world leader in theatre and highlight the sector’s massive contribution to the cultural, social, educational and economic health of the nation.

The conference was attended by over 1,000 delegates from the theatre industry sector in 3 venues across the city and was backed by 11 organisations including Drama UK, the Society of London Theatre and The Stage.

Of  notable interest was a speech by Yinka Ayinde, a young director who has recently directed a show called Oliva Tweest, the first Afrobeat musical to be staged in the West End. The show has had a very successful run and he contributed some great ideas on rethinking the way theatre markets its content and reaches new audiences.
