Choosing someone to handle probate on your behalf seems to be no different than any other consumer purchase, with cost being the driving factor.
According to a survey carried out at our specialist probate accountants, the Probate Practice, nearly six out of ten people cited cost as the most important factor when choosing a probate practitioner. We cap our fees at 1.5% of estate value so you know what you are paying, with no hidden charges or costs creeping in.
After cost, customer service was considered to be the second biggest influence, with two in ten people citing this as a factor. Here at the Probate Practice we pride ourselves on our speed and efficiency but also on our understanding and sensitive manner in which we wrap up your estates.
As accountants, the Probate Practice are more used to dealing with figures and financial statements than solicitors, and now with the ICAEW granting licences to accountants such as ourselves to conduct the whole process of probate, this means we are able to handle everything for you.
There are also other key steps you can take to make the process easier such as drafting your will which we can do through our will writing service, and also preparing a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) to ensure your loved ones are left in the best possible position.
