Acting for Actors at the ICAEW on 8th September 2011

The Institute Of Chartered Accountants Entertainment and Media group’s recent seminar named ‘Acting for Actors’ was extremely well attended with sessions presented by actors’ union Equity and our very own Dave Morrison. Hot topics included Actors’ Loan Out Companies, Film and TV PAYE enquiries and the effect of a claim following the Demibourne case, The ITV Services court decision and much more.

Dave was delighted that his presentation went down so well, as he explained. ‘A few minutes before I was set to speak there was a compatibility issue with Power Point and it looked as though I was going to have to add lib the whole thing without my slide show, luckily it was solved and people had a colourful screen to look at rather than just plain old me. Still, at a session about actors there would have been no excuses for not using some improvisation skills I guess!’

This is the second time Dave has lectured at the Institute of Chartered Accountants this year, earlier having spoken at the group’s Annual Conference along with NLP’s Anthony Pins.
